The Queensland Government has introduced rebates for eligible householders who replace their electric hot water system with a heat pump or solar hot water system.

Queensland residents can apply for a $600 rebate or a $1000 rebate for low income earners and pensioners.

To qualify for the rebate, there are strict guidelines around the eligibility of systems and their installation, which can only be completed by appropriately licensed plumbers, electricians and gas fitters (with current BSA, contracting and occupational licences).
