Malcolm Richards, CEO Malcolm Richards was appointed CEO of ECA in July 2006 after spending six years with the Electrical Safety Office where his role included developing new electrical safety legislation. Members will benefit from his extensive experience in the electrical industry through 17 years working for Ergon Energy and previously NORQEB based in Townsville. He is a qualified electrical fitter/mechanic/linesperson and has completed a Masters of Business Administration. Paul Daly, Executive Manager - ECA Paul Daly has an extensive career working for trade associations. For the past three years Paul has provided advocacy services on behalf of ECA at a federal and state level. Paul’s duties also include driving ECA’s new apprenticeship projects, managing over $1million under grant in areas such as mature age, flexible delivery, assessor network and ApprenticeConnect. Wayne Crookes, Executive Manager - SafetyConnect Wayne brings a wealth of experience to the team with over 30 years of extensive industry and business knowledge. Being a former contractor, Wayne understands the requirements that an electrical business has for implementing and maintaining an effective safety program. He provides a strong level of leadership, direction, assistance and support to his valuable and experienced SafetyConnect team, which will in turn ensure prompt and efficient service to all members.
Veronica Mauri, Executive Manager - Training and Education Veronica has extensive experience in the development and delivery of technical and business training and her previous employment includes a teaching position with Gold Coast TAFE within the electrotechnology faculty. Veronica held a management position with Queensland's Electrical Safety Office for seven years. Veronica is a qualified electrical fitter and mechanic and has previously run a successful electrical contracting business. Her qualifications include a Diploma of Education and Bachelor of Business Management.
David Melloy, Executive Manager - Marketing David has more than 14 years' experience in marketing and communications, the last eight of which were in membership-based organisations in Brisbane and the UK. He holds a BA in Photography and Graduate Diploma in Communications, and has been with ECA for three years. David is responsible for driving all marketing and communication initiatives across the organisation, including all business unit promotional activity and new membership growth. Benjamin Wash, Executive Manager - Corporate Services As corporate services manager, Benjamin oversees all the financial, accounting and administration functions for ECA. Benjamin has extensive experience in financial management having worked across all sectors and in all tiers of government.
